Designed for expectant parents, this one-hour class will answer questions regarding breastfeeding, and cover topics, such as newborn care, safe sleep practices and basic nutrition. Classes are taught by a pediatrician and consist of a teaching portion followed Q&A. Expectant moms and partners are encouraged to participate.

Basic Newborn Care

Designed for expectant parents, virtual Basic Newborn Care is presented by a registered nurse lactation consultant and highlights key information about caring for your newborn baby. The class focuses on what to expect while in the hospital through the first month of your baby’s life. Topics include bathing, feeding, diapering, soothing and sleep. Partners are encouraged to participate. The class will also include the opportunity to ask questions.

Care for High-Risk Pregnancies & Complex Neonates

Connect virtually with OB-GYNs, MFM specialists, neonatologists and pediatric specialists from Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital to discuss specialized topics involving the perinatal and immediate postnatal period. Meet expert perinatal and neonatal specialists who perform specialized procedures for high-risk moms and babies. Learn about new services, procedures and treatment options available at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital during this virtual lecture series.

Care for Your Core and Pelvic Floor

Pregnancy and delivery can cause your body to experience many physical changes, including the development of pelvic floor disorders. Care for Your Core and Pelvic Floor is taught by a physical therapist who specializes in the ways in which pregnancy and delivery affect the pelvic floor. The class will address common issues like back and pelvic pain, diastasis recti, urinary incontinence and pelvic floor dysfunction. Learn what changes to expect, how to prepare for childbirth and how to maximize your recovery after a vaginal birth or cesarean section.

Mother Baby T.E.A. – TLC, Education, Answers

Created specially to meet the unique needs of mothers with babies up to three month of age, this group provides education, reassurance and support along with a little T.L.C. in an informal, comfortable setting. Childbirth educators and nurses will answer questions about infant care, breastfeeding, ways to comfort your baby, taking care of yourself and more.

This class series is your go-to for postpartum concerns. It consists of three classes, each with relevant content and the opportunity to have your questions answered by an expert. Join all three or pick the ones most meaningful to you. This series is a great way to get you back to feeling like yourself.

Prenatal Breastfeeding

Designed for expectant parents, this condensed class is presented by a registered nurse lactation consultant. Learn what to expect while breastfeeding your baby during the first few days after delivery and through the first few months. Infants welcome. Partners are encouraged to participate. The class will also include the opportunity to ask questions.

Preparation for Birth Class

This E-class is an eight-chapter, interactive, web-based class that uses videos, personal birth stories, animations, activities, & games to teach all the information parents need to know to prepare for their birth. Understand pregnancy, learn about labor, discover comfort techniques & more. Preparation for Birth includes 90 days of access to our E-learning class titled “Understanding Birth” & email access to our Maternal Education Team.
