Joint Replacement Class - Orlando Regional Medical Center

Not sure what to expect after joint replacement surgery? Our classes will discuss your preoperative and postoperative care and answer any questions you may have regarding your join replacement. Topics reviewed include discharge plan & expectations, durable medical equipment needs, preadmission & admission process, physical therapy expectations, pain management, ways to prevent a post operative complication, and how to prepare for a safe transition home.

Please enroll patients having Total Hip or Total Knee Replacement. Support person is welcome to attend but does not need to be registered. It is recommended to schedule prior to surgery date. Dr. Nguyen or Dr. Padden’s patients MUST register for the class at Dr. P. Phillips Hospital. It is recommended to schedule prior to surgery date. Patients and their families may attend class as many times as they want.
